Does North America also cover Quebec? :P Congrats Anisa!
It's a shame because it's an excellent product, I really wish 1P understood this. Their removal of the cloud sync feature and insistence on moving to a subscription-based model is infuriating and drove me away from…
Interesting! I have the same TV and never see ads (I'm on the latest WebOS update). My Pi-Hole actually blocks everything and the only times when I see ads are when I disable the blocking to be able to access the app…
I was, up until I started reporting them to the Canadian Anti Spam website and they stopped shortly after that.
Are workshop manuals limited to authorized service dealers somehow? I'm curious how difficult they are to find
Haaaa great write-up! I was in that situation and ended up repurposing a Raspberry Pi to make sure it would fully work. Didn't wanna take the risk of bricking it so soon after getting it haha
+1 for this project, I'm glad it's getting visibility. It's an excellent add-on for the robots that are compatible, especially for all the privacy-conscious people that want smart devices in their homes.
Did you follow a guide for this or did it on your own? A write-up would be amazing, I'd love to have ad-free Youtube on my C1
1Password. They've taken a fantastic password manager and are slowly moving it to a subscription-based product. They're slapping in the face the very users that helped them get to where they are and are removing local…
Any of the Kickstarter projects I've participated in. I used an alias for my Kickstarter account and I know for a fact that at least one of those projects sold my email because now I get random Kickstarter-type project…
This looks like a great solution, congrats on the launch! I don't know if I would store that information in the cloud though. If you were to offer a self-hosted option I would be all over it.
I would gladly pay the $3/month if they were doing what you mentioned in addition to adding features. One of the problems with their new subscription model is that they're replacing existing support for password syncing…
I really enjoyed reading this, thanks for posting. I've been struggling to find a more sustainable solution on my end for all the sensors and buttons I have set up. Anecdotally I feel their battery life tends to be…
> The lights in my office come on when I walk in if it's dark, and when I unlock my computer it shoots a message out over a MQTT broker which my automation takes as "someone is occupying this space now" and leaves them…
Can confirm, the fingerprint reader is apparently a huuuge pain to set up. I had found an article on how to set it up and it was requiring me to boot into Windows to do the initial set up and then go to Ubuntu to be…
I'm a huge chiptune fan, this is perfect for me for coding. Thanks! :D
I love home automation and I love this idea but I'm deadset against having a cloud service connected for my home automation. Would it be possible to run a server locally, using my GPU for the processing?
I wasn't able to find a cloud-less home automation solution. Ended up going the semi-DIY route and installed Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi. It's not plug and play, but it beats having to rely on some cloud solution…
Delta? How come Delta? The flights I've taken in the past couple of months have been with Delta and their service was fantastic.
Been using 1P since version 4 or so and syncing with Dropbox. It works really well and I'm quite satisfied with how quickly they resolve issues (especially security related ones)
Same here, OnePlus One running CM13, I can't see it in the list (neither release or the previous field test).
I recently started playing around with Node for a friend's side project. I helped him set up the database and Sequelize was absolutely horrible to get up and running. The documentation was really lacking and we spent…
