To some degree. But esp for drivers, you still need to know when they go wrong, and steer them right, or your code will either just not work or be an unmaintainable, not-upstreamable mess.
anthropic frequently rate limits or is just unavailable... so I wouldn't exactly say they are handling it better.
Is this maybe dependent on country? I have used carplay, and don't have siri enabled.
Because it specifically has guard rails installed. The default, and somewhat inherent in the instruction following logic, is not saying no and making things possible, especially if run as an agent.
For me it's still the best. But I also almost never use it in auto-mode.
sorry but this is just dumb. sure, there are a number of ways you can diy this. Congrats, you picked the most annoying and least secure one, that is not even remotely comparable.

also their example for rewriting just completely changes it. might as well redo it in this case (with another model or by hand)
also keep in mind that the gnu.org want gpl to apply as widely as possible. Generally, your approach should be fine imo
Just writing your own bloat is not the way to go though, especially when it makes the codebase quickly balloon...
